Admission Policy

Admission arrangements for all Thurrock Community and Voluntary Controlled Primary Schools

Pupils are admitted to the school’s Reception classes in September following their fourth birthday.  We have 60 children in each year group and 20 places in the Speech and Language Resource Base. 

Applications are made through Thurrock Council Education Department. Admissions through the year or to other year groups are also through Thurrock Council Education Department.

Admissions to the Speech and Language provision are through Thurrock Council.

The admissions criteria for Corringham Primary is as follows:

If there is oversubscription for the 60 places available the oversubscription criteria are applied:

1) Children who are in public care or looked after or have ever been looked after

2) Children with specific medical and social needs

3) Catchment Siblings

4) Catchment

5) Out of Catchment Siblings

6) Out of catchment
